That was probably the problem with Age of Ultron, everyone was together at all times and they were all fighting the same enemy, following the narrative path, that it felt like too much at times and you didn't get enough time to breathe and/or relax. But, at the same time, you have to find a way for every major character in the MCU, at least the good guys, to have a role to play and for that role to make sense within the context of the story you are trying to tell.
