Back in the interrogation room, Dex is getting ready to go undercover as “Crystal.” Hoffman isn’t taking to her sarcasm, but I am here for it.It’s go-time: Dex and Grey go undercover together. *Breathe in and breathe out. -Dex meets an army vet, Violet, at the meeting for, who happens to be the person looking for the heroin. He would have totally hated my book bag in college… I think he’s quickly becoming one of my favorite characters on the show. Grey should probably hire a couple more people to run the bar while he’s away.Dex thinks the three of them working together is funny because they’ve both slept with her. Where is Hoffman?! -Max leaves and tries to get Grey to go with her, but he refuses.Violet: You wanna know something kind of cheesy but completely honest. Dex goes undercover as a potential buyer to help Hoffman and Grey with the next phase of their drug case. Seriously, why is he the best? The man has a gun to Grey. The business transaction has been closed, and as Dex walks out, she finds Violet with a gun about to walk into the building that Grey is still in. Cue fight scene to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Dex just flipped her over the balcony, but Violet made an escape…somehow.Oh my gosh! Life is all about timing. -Grey takes off with Max and goes to the reservation where Sue Lynn does him a favor and protects him from the cops. Grey ends up being the one who was behind Ansel wanting to learn how to drive. Honesty, Dex lol. After last episode of Stumptown, we learned that Dex was going undercover in Hoffman and Grey’s case. Oh no! -Violet and Dex run into each other when Violet shows up at the warehouse to kill everyone and get the drugs back, and they fight but Violet gets away. So, maybe Max wasn’t bad after all.Sue Lynn comes to the rescue of Grey! Let’s see what goes down! Speaking of Grey, problems arise when one of the men catches him chatting with Max. The crew isn’t jumping on Dex’s offer to take the illegal load off them, though. -Grey leaves Ansel in charge of The Bad Alibi while he is away and he calls Tookie for help when he gets overwhelmed. What did you think of this episode of That episode could have played out a lot worse than it did. * However, Dex isn’t letting her get to Grey. Oh!OMG, Tookie literally took Ansel to egg a house of someone who left a bad Yelp review. Excuse me, did he just say they were gonna kill Grey?! Dex tells Grey that Max is playing him, and I totally agree with her. Meanwhile, Ansel calls Tookie in for reinforcement at Bad Alibi. Nah. She suddenly starts to feel remorseful for the illegal stuff she’s been doing? -Leo tries to kill Grey, but the police get there first.
On Stumptown Season 1 Episode 13, Dex goes undercover as a potential buyer in order to help Hoffman and Grey with the next phase of their drug case. Love it. Stumptown has developed a rhythm of cycling through mini-arcs that could easily be extended into season-long stories but instead seem to wrap up within a few episodes. I really have been enjoying the Ansel and Tookie team-ups.
Hoffman, yasss! Grey also helps Max make an escape to a new place, but not without a kiss good bye. When she isn't writing for Hollywood News Source, Talk Nerdy With Us or her college's paper, she's drinking too much coffee and probably fangirling over Captain Swan. However, they don’t want to engage in a group hug or a selfie like she suggests. That scene was all kinds of awkward, and I think it might have been one of my favorite scenes on this show. It’s at the station we also see Hoffman come face-to-face with his dad. -Dex and Violet go back to where Violet is staying and end up hooking up. -Violet tracks down Chaz who tells her Leo is going to keep the drugs and kill Grey once he gets the money. She also likes to watch Hallmark movies and mercilessly rewatches 'Once Upon a Time'. Phew! Grey and Max end up making a clean getaway, but the cops are hot on their trail. -Dex poses as a prospective buyer for the heroin.
