This has an interesting quality of feeling like a story a kid might make up while playing with toys — in particular, there's a feeling that a lot of characters from the first film are sandwiched in with no good reason, and with nothing to do, solely because the kid telling the story has their action figures handy — but it's amiable fun, and the foodimals are plenty creative.Then again, this film really missed out on the opportunity to recognize that the thought of a machine endlessly spitting out living, sentient things in intimidatingly large numbers is utterly terrifying.
